Good morning Sunday

Awake a silly o'clock this morning and took ages to get off to sleep . Have tinnitus but hope it is just wax in my ear. Don't want to have to go through what fixer has. It hasn't been effecting my sleep up to now but is annoying.

Had a good trip back. Even Stonehenge wasn't snarled up. However as carsma predicted yesterday, the garden has exploded. It will take a long time to tidy it., However some good things, the climbing rose we inherited against a white wall and looked pathetic when we moved in, just one long twig, is now looking pretty good with lots more branches and some buds on. The red acer that looked fantastic the first year we were here and then suddenly wilted has now recovered. Both down to lots of constant chopping. The wisteria my step brother gave me for my 60th is in flower. I want to take that with me if we ever move. But the bluebells are all dead. I am not prepared to let them die down as they look such mess, and not a good look if trying to sell, so am digging them up. The grass was about 6" tall. OH has given it one cut and will do so again today.

However I think a coffee and toasted teacake will be on the cards before we tackle that. Also need to get some food in.

What weather! When it decides to rain, it absolutely chucks it down. And Tommy had a bath yesterday so is looking all silky and clean. Can see that not lasting long.

Hope it stops as we have to go to Somerset today with Tommy, to our friends who are looking after him. They have asked us not to be there till 4pm, as they are on their way back from Cheshire. We shall stay overnight and get back home sometime tomorrow. Have to take his stuff - 1 x 12 Kg bag dog food, another bag already opened, Bonios, Dentastix, shampoo, lots of old towels.

Need to leave the house tidy though as we have a viewing tomorrow lunchtime and we will still be away. Lousy timing in a way but if the other viewings are anything to go by, tends to be lots of enthusiasm and then total silence!

OH managed to pack the bags yesterday. 2 large suitcases but oh boy are they full and that is without my lotions and potions. So will probably have to put a few things in hand luggage so there is room for those. Luckily we shall be bringing back less than we are taking, as we have lots of things for the family.

Bit late. Hope no duplications.

Poor OH will have a hell of a time for the next 2 days thanks to MIL. He has to pick her up at coffee time, bring her here for lunch (1.25 hour drive there and 1.25 hour drive back). Then they will leave her little dog here (unless she decides to ask the cleaning lady, which would not surprise me). Then they will drive to Exeter (3 hours), stay overnight in a hotel, go to the hospital tomorrow, and then he has to drive back here, pick up dog, drive another 1.25 hours to take her home, and 1.25 hours back here. Will she be grateful?

So I have to pop to M&S and get something for lunch and will then be on my own till about 9pm tomorrow night. We were going out to dinner with friends but that has had to be postponed.

Didn't get the drastically reduced jacket yesterday. Not my size. Probably a good thing but I did get a couple of half price tops I didn't need, or rather, that I could have lived without!!

Other than that, nothing planned today.
