Rather grey and dismal this morning. Sun tried to shine yesterday so maybe it will try again today. But cold.

Still no plumber. Can see this not happening. Need to do a really good clean and tidy of the house today, so that tomorrow morning we can just put the vac over to de-Tommy the place before we head off. OH has done all he can to the boat.

Hi peeps.
In a few hours we will be off to Kent to look for our forever home. We have 13 viewings in 48 hours so our brains will fry! A friend is cooking us supper tonight and we are taking my Aunt out for a meal tomorrow, so got a bit of social mixed in too, which is nice.

Can't believe no-one is up and about!

Hopefully today will be the day we were going to have yesterday! Will pop into town, have a coffee, get a bit of food and may some knitting wool as I have nothing on the go at the moment. Dentist this afternoon.

MIL was a right pain in the a**e yesterday, so no surprise there! Her wound was fine and OH cleaned it - no blood, no nails sticking out. She has decided she doesn't want another operation and her life is ruined. Then a few sentences later, she is talking about when she has her operation, though we don't know where or when. She refuses to follow OH's advice, won't go to a good centre to have it done, if it needs doing. It is a wait and see situation, which is not prepared to do. OH can say/do no right.

So he is going to try and get her next outpatient appointment brought forward to before we go to Oz. She doesn't understand why they wouldn't have been working yesterday and why she can't make it when she wants it! We shall not cancel Spain at the end of the month. After all, her cleaning lady knows much more than OH!

A lot of her behaviour is attention seeking. She also thinks that someone will wave a magic wand and things will be like before her original fracture. She is also blaming all and sundry and she is the poor hard done by martyr.

Very quiet on the Forum these days or is it my imagination? Couldn't get on yesterday for some reason, signal arrived again late last night.

Think my bug has bugged off or thereabouts, little relapse over the weekend but maybe that's how it tails off - not pleasant - hopefully that was it for this Winter.

Just need to do a quick tidy round then I'm off to do a tiny bit of gift hunting - can't give niece and nephew home made goodies - well I could but would like to see first if there's something nice out there they might like. Hoping to meet OH for coffee later as he has a meeting in Athens and we will cross paths on his way back.

Weather is very pleasant today and the same forecast at least until Sunday according to www.meteo.gr! OH wants to barbecue on Sunday and have a few friends and family over - plenty of time to be organized. Want to make a start to some sweets this week for Christmas so bought all my ingredients and have lost my recipes!!!! Shall have to do a bit of googling and see what I can come up with. Found some nice biscuit cutters (snowflakes) while in Scotland and want to try them out - very pretty.
