Good morning Monday

I see the penguins are out in force this morning. They really are a big pain.

Still jet lagged but managed to stay awake till 9pm last night, which was good considering I had been up since 2.30am that morning! Slept till 4am today so guess I am slowly getting there. Too slowly though. Think the weather is really mean though having this cold snap, just as we get back. After all, we have been used to nearer 30 degrees for the last month and this has come as a hell of a shock!

Off to see MIL today. I really should have bought some earplugs! Were hoping to go to Brighton for the day, as Tommy isn't back yet but needless to say she put the kibosh on that! She and SIL have not spoken since SIL looked after her and whilst she was there it was WW3! Totally predicable but hopefully it will make SIL appreciate her brother even more. She has an appointment for a change of plaster on 4 March but we are away till the 3rd so might have to change it. Looked into changing the flight home but Easyjet wanted £90 for the pleasure of doing that!

Picking Tommy up tomorrow. Meeting our friends at a National Trust place near Bournemouth. It will be good to have him home though have to say the last few days without him have been nice!

Good morning Monday

Everything back to normal now thank goodness.

I am sat here in bed with 2 dogs fast asleep on the bed! Tommy has wolfed down his breakfast. Daisy has turned her nose up at hers - her own food and Tommy's!

OH got to Exeter in good time yesterday and had a MIL-free zone for an hour, before they met up in the bar. Luckily SIL joined them and so could absorb some of the non stop talking! OH was concentrating on her leg rather than what was coming out of her mouth. SIL phoned me later and admitted there is no way she could have put up with her behaviour and said OH has the patience of Job! Today they will go to the hospital. He says her leg is badly deformed now and she needs different X rays to those she has had. Does she appreciate all this you ask? Apparently she has thanked OH but how she will be in a couple of days, who knows!

They should be back here mid afternoon so will make OH some scones and hopefully we can get back on track from tomorrow.
