Just wallowing in the peace and quiet before MIL wakes up!
Poor OH is exhausted. The drive to Exeter was fine but pretty awful on the way back. However that was not the main problem. It was MIL's constant, and I mean constant, talking. We have heard it all before. Her opinions are a little biased and outrageous to say the least! No point arguing with her as most of the time she isn't listening out for a response anyway. And as to the repeating in the same sentence ...!! She also doesn't know the meaning of speaking quietly or just sitting there and admiring the view for a while! Her appointment went fine. She has another plaster on for the next 5 weeks but the ankle is beginning to fuse together now so hopefully the next appointment will be the last. Good for all our sakes.
He has to take her back home today and will do that asap! I will go to the residents association coffee morning at the pub, as we haven't been there since before Christmas. Other than that, nothing planned.
