Hello Ladies,
We are having a Sunday at home catching up on chores and a bit of DIY. We all know what I do so more of the same for me while OH is trying to install our B&O system yet again - we have to drill through my beautiful built in wall unit and I am sitting (no not sitting) with baited breath! Had all my lovely family photos (Sepia and Black & White - no color in this collection - and all in old fashioned frames on this area on a lovely Burano lace so will have to find somewhere else to put them (I am not pleased as I thought they looked so lovely there).
Dinner is cooking on the stove, it's dull, cloudy and wet outside so it's feeling a bit too cosy in here, even with the heating off as it's still 23C outside - feel like I'm wrapped in cling film! Dogs are snoozing flat out on the kitchen floor and apart from the bubbling stewpot and the odd bang and drill from the other room, all is quiet (NOT!).
Seems like your OH PN was not the only one traveling slow - on the bike yesterday OH had to stop as did all the other travelers to wait for the rain, hail and howling wind on the coast road to settle down on his way back from Korinthos - his waterproofs were in the bike box but fortunately his leathers kept him dry apart from his feet - almost felt heroic poor guy when he removed the socks and presented me with them in the kitchen (dripping all the way from his dressing room when I had just finished washing the floors so was out with the mop again! His boots too were soaked through but in all he got off lightly. I spent yesterday to-ing and fro-ing between house and garden playing the good wife - so domesticated was I.
I'm now waiting for OH to finish his DIY so he can help me lift the dining table (3.70m long and heavy) to remove the carpet for cleaning and same to do in the lounge. Guy is finally coming on Monday to take them away so I need to have them rolled and ready.
Have just been told to make ready for a trip out for coffee at our regular watering hole down the road so I shall leave you all wishing a happy relaxed Sunday to all. Shall quickly prepare the veg before we leave which suddenly seems like urgent else OH will not have his stated accompaniment (diet sheet) with his Beef dinner - bet it feels like his Birthday today as he's allowed meat!
