I was far too late for the morning post sorry so I thought I'd say a good afternoon instead.

I'm just about to pop to the supermarket yet again!! I have cleaned my fridge out and got rid of bits and bobs of end of jar stuff - you know what I mean. Jam and preserves that are so old and they have almost crystalized:p
Yes, I am Waynetta Slob! Youngest GS texted me earlier asking if he could come and stay the night as he's bored stiff, so I have made up the click clack bed in the little bedroom. OH is still ensconced in the guest bedroom (huffy room) so the little fella will be sleeping in a new room, well, new to him anyway. But it looks lovely, OH and I have made the click clack sofa in to 3/4 size bed and sheets, pillows and duvet on..........dead cosy for him :)

Anyway, I have to go and buy something special for tea as a treat. Plus a chocolate trifle which GS adores.
I quite like a wander around this particular supermarket as it's huge and has a good selection of clothes, household stuff etc to look at.

Must get my donkey moving as GS will be here for 5pm........Have a good afternoon/evening one and all.

Good morning Saturday, from the seaside.

Been up since silly o'clock, don't know why-strange bed, perhaps. We heard that the apartment below us has been let out long-term and there were dark mutterings among the snobbish element about them being "on benefits" All I can say is, they must pay damn good benefits here as they arrived at the same time as us, back from the shops-in a Porsche!

Anyway, we all said hello and he said they had a 10 month old baby so we might hear here sometimes but so far, not a squeak. Think I'll pop down today and say hello properly and meet the little girl. If we are going to cross paths regularly it's better to be friendly at the outset, I think.

Hoping to do some beach walking today. It's still dark, which I find surprising because at home it would be light by now. Masses of birds singing though because we are right next to the Coastal Path with woods all aroind so lots of wildlife.

Has anyone read the series of books by Diane Gabaldon beginning with Outlander? I read the first few books of the story of Claire who was sent back to Scotland at the time of the Jacobian up rising by Bonnie Prince Charlie, years ago. Claire meets a real Scottish hunk called Jamie Fraser, falls in love, so decides to stay there. The books are very long and contain so much detail of the time and the people. Her first book has been made into a TV series which I recently bought as a boxset. They must have spent a lot of money on the series as it was fantastic. I am really looking forward to the second series where Claire and Jamie go to France and attend the court of Louis V. The costumes of the period look great going by the preview. Watching the series got me back into reading the books again.

Leeds Lunch Club

Hi Everyone.

I don't know how many of you will have heard of the very sad and tragic death of Lesley's husband, Vernon.

Naturally, Lesley will not be able to arrange any more lunch clubs in the foreseeable future, but I am willing to take over the organisation on a temporary basis if that is what people want. I would like it to continue because I think that we all need to be there for Lesley when she feels able to re-join the group.

We had arranged the date of Saturday 16th April as our next get-together. I can't remember where we were going to go but will La Tasca be ok?

Please let me know if you are able to come and Lesley, if you happen to read this, we are all thinking of you and your family at this very sad time.

Leeds Lunch Club

Just back from hospital - phew!

Well, after a long morning at the hospital I have been told I'm good to go! for another few years at least;)

My ECG's are both normal, my BP was normal as was my pulse rate. All the bloods I had done previously have come out ok - no major problems at all. The pain was gone months ago but I still was concerned due to the severity of pain I suffered it when it happened. The cardio guy has suggested to my GP that I now can be taken off one my meds.

He's also advised me to get a pedometer and to try and do 5,000 steps a day. He said that 10,000 is usually the norm, but I could do 5,000 and feel the benefits. Baby steps, literally:rolleyes:

So Playmates - all good news thank the good Lord. Bizi's back in Biziness ;)
