Another update, and a huge thank you.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your support, your emails, texts and pms, and all the posts on the Forum.

As S00ze kindly mentioned, I did get to see Clutterbug yesterday. Poor Mr Rosa drove all the way home, in his truck, from Cambridge, at 4.30 yesterday morning. He then had to jump in the car, and we drove from Reading to Margate, and took the dogs with us. I went into the hospital, and Mr R went off, with the dogs, to find somewhere to walk, and to pass the time.

Clutterbug was still in CDU when I got there...but he looked so old and frail, I walked past his bed; I didnt recognise him.

He has definitely had a massive stroke, and is on end of life care. He's completely unconscious, and doesn't respond to anything. He's on a specialist air bed, mainly because he's very thin now, and they don't want him getting pressure sores. Whilst I was there, he was moved into a proper ward, but even being wheeled, on this bed, through endless hospital corridors, and being manoeuvered into position in the ward, didn't elicit a response. Because he has no cough reflex, he's on a medication pump to try and keep his chest clear, but apart from that, he's just being monitored, and turned regularly. Basically, he just looks as though he's sleeping. I spent about six hours with him yesterday...but he obviously had no idea I was there.

He's not deteriorating quite as quickly as they first thought, so it may be a day or two before he passes away. The hospital will contact me immediately there's any change, and Mr R is back at work today, but only doing local deliveries, so can get home quickly if needed. I shall go and see Clutterbug again on Saturday, if he's still with us.

The Staff in the ward are wonderful; very caring. They even looked after me when I had a bit of a tearful meltdown, and a nursing assistant sat with me in the visitors room, and provided tea...and tissues!

I will try and keep you all posted.

Thank you again for your kind thoughts.
Another update, and a huge thank you.
