Good Morning Ruby Tuesday!

It was that moment when somewhere in Sleep City someone strokes your tangled mop, pecks your cheek and softly says "I'm off Pet". You mumble "Take care Love", roll over and snuggle yourself down for another few zzz's! Not 5 minutes pass and Ruby dog decides you've had enough sleep and she's hungry so begins by tugging the blanket thrown down to your waist because it's hot (she knew I was too hot so thought I could do without it). She knows she can't do breakfast by herself so sticks her rather large nose in my ear and gives it a nudge (if not a wallop into next week.) When that's not working and you roll over to the other side of the bed round she comes and attacks from the other side and helps you to smack your own face with your own palm resting on the pillow by your cheek! I GAVE UP because I knew she wouldn't ….knew it wasn't going to stop so there went that extra half hour I thought I'd have in bed this morning! Some might call that sweet but I call it Hunger War Ruby style. Was so looking forward to not getting up early this morning but there you go.

Very breezy here this morning but Sunny. The birds sound like they're screaming at full pitch and Layla I think is in competition with her snoring in her corner of the kitchen. We've all had breakfast now but I can see it's going to be one of those days …. Layla will do her sleep thing, Ruby will trail round at the back of me like my shadow and I will not do half of what I thought I would today. Think I need another weekend away already! It's that or some hotels have better beds than I do. Feeling very achey - this too will pass!!!!
