When I read this thread a name was mentioned, apparently an actress by the name of Mayim Bialic. It ment nothing to me. Then tonight we were watching a recording of the ,Big Bang Theory. and l caught sight of this name not enough to understand it but enough to make me curious. So l googled the caste of the programme . Sure enough M.B came up so l read about her.
She is jewish, her family coming from middle Europe. She was a child actress in the 80's and starred in some well known films, but she is also a neuroscientist getting a PhD. Also minors in Hebrew and Judaism. She studied at UCLA as she didn't want to move to far away from her parents. Though she was offered places at Harvard and Yale.She came to recent fame by playing in the Big Bang Theory, being nominated for Emmie's over a 4/5,yr period.
