Kitchen or Utility

Hi, this is a bit of a daft question but... I have a new open plan kitchen / living area and I'm thinking about putting the dish washer in the utility room so I can shut the door on the noise and it wont disturb us in the living area. Is this a stupid idea? Should they always be in the kitchen? I take all the dirty stuff to the utility to wash off the excess food so I go in there anyway with some of the pots. What do you all think? Am I forgetting some really obvious point that I will only discover is a problem once I've done it?! Your help, advise, opinions would be greatly appreciated..:confused:
