Just been pressing the last of 3 dozen or so scarves. Yes,three dozen (at least). The other day I thought that a couple of my scarves had a funny stale smell to them, so that was it. I got all of them out of the cupboard and washed every one. After they dried I knew that at least half need a light pressing.
Anyway, it is amazing how many memories came flooding back from the time when I first bought the scarves. What I bought them to match, a work suit or two, a wedding outfit, numerous coats/jackets. Some of these scarves date back to the mid 80s when I was a business woman with high heeled shoes, big 80s hairstyle and power suits complete with padded shoulders (think Dynasty)!
These days I still wear scarves and still add to my collection, if you can call it that. However, now I tend to wear them over cardis, jumpers and wraps and at times anoraks!
Well Playmates, how many of you have as many scarves, if not more?
P.S.
Don't get me started on clearing out my knicker draw (a yearly event) This year I binned 12 pairs.
Scarves! How many is too many?
