:) Hi everyone, newbie alert, although I have to confess, I have often popped in and out of the forum at times, found many of the posts very useful on many occasions.
A bit about me, well, Oh and I have finally made our move to live on the island of Menorca, we have had our villa for over 10 years now, always with this intention, we have taken early retirement as OH has had a few health issues, which made us take stock and helped us to make the decision earlier than expected.....well, that and the cheap rosado and sunshine...so not really a difficult decision, he seems to be in fine fettle now.
For now though, I would welcome your detached, independent advise, OH recently had throat cancer, he has never smoked, I have never smoked, we don't have chums who smoke.....he is healthy and as fit as a flea now, fingers crossed that will continue. We have new chums coming over for supper tonight, they both smoke, the hubbie very strong cigars, the wife cigarettes, we don't have ash trays, but much more than that, we don't want people smoking in our outside the villa on the terrace. They know OH has been very ill, but when we have met up a couple of times before in restaurants/bars etc, both of them smoke.....alot! So, do I give them a call before they arrive asking them to refrain, and if so how do I word it please? Or, do I wait for them to arrive and ask when one of them lights up, thing is, I don't want to make OH feel awkward.
