Day 12 Wandering round the middle bit

Right now we can stop thinking calm thoughts until Stricker's next appointment ....I was having to take deep breaths yesterday!

Kiwi was wanting to go to the War tunnels and they really are worth a visit

They were built by slave labour from several nations, mostly Russian, Poles, French and Spanish, many died during the construction, particularly the Russians who were treat even worse. They were built as an ammunition dump and artillery barracks originally, but as D Day drew near, they were converted to be used as a hospital as well.

In reall life, if you ever go to Jersey, then go and visit, it's fascinationg and takes about an hour and a half to get round.

There are a number of Museums, a maritime one, the Jersey Museum, the war museum, if those are your cup of tea, it's well served.

kiwi, over in St Aubin's is the Harbour Gallery, second favourite to the gift shop in Gorey. It's a little exhibition space and has all sorts of quirky things to buy
