I find Mothers Day very hard now, with all the adverts on tv, by email and in your face in the shops.
I still have my mum but she is locked in another world suffering with Alzheimers. Just as hard in a way as anyone whose mum has sadly passed away.
My best friend lost her mum 3 days after my dad died in December, so I know its hard for her today, but she has 3 lovely daughters and GDs to help her through today.
I left mum flowers and a card when all the family visited her last Sunday but she is none the wiser. I miss her today. I can ring her but she cant understand what Im saying or reply back.
Seeing ES next weekend but had a lovely surprise of a pamper session booked and flowers and books from YS and 2 wonderful handmade cards from my GDs. My Goddaughter always sends me a card too.
Spending the day with OHs daughter as its his birthday today too, so that will be good.
Thinking of everyone who is missing their mum today.
