I note from the Theatre thread that there is the opinion that a cup of tea, for example, is dearer in the south than the north. Early February my son & I spent 5 days drinking tea in central London, everywhere from the Royal parks, South Bank centre, Trafalgar Square & in many museums & nowhere were we charged more than £2 each. In fact one of the museums was a pot for two for £2.60. We had meals in pubs & restaurants and didn't pay anymore than I would in similar places in Chester in fact one was much cheaper.
However, recently I went to Debenhams in Wrexham ( very run down) & they charge £1.90 which is a rip off.
Interested to hear if you all think the north is cheaper than south.
