Great news to start 2016 with

Our ES phoned from France this afternoon to tell us that he and his partner have got engaged. Hoorah! He took her for a walk on the beach near her parents' home and went down on one knee:(. He said that she said yes before he got the ring out of his pocket. We are so pleased as they have been together for so long and little GD is 18 months now that we had given up all idea of them tying the knot. When we asked when the big day is he said to give them chance as she had only just said yes. They never rush anything :D
