Friday l traveled from Bromley, Kent to Bangor, Wales. By public transport, with two cabin size suitcases with a large travel bag hooked over one of them !!!At the first station a lady took one case from me and at Victoria a young girl with Downs Syndrome helped me. I then got a taxi so that wasn't a problem. Because my knee was playing up l made sure l was early so l grubed a coffee a pain au raisin and found a long bench type seat which filled up ,then a seat became vacant and a young man who had been standing nearby with his girlfriend asked if it were free l said yes. He said he was saving it for his girlfriend who was pregnant. Almost as though he needed to explain why as a young man he needed the seat. I told him that l loved the hat his girlfriend was wearing and we got talking. When she returned she sat, said hello and chattered to him, when our train clocked up they got up turned to say goodbye, l said l was also catching the same train, they immediately turned took my cases and went off with me trailing behind! When we got to the train they put my cases in the side racks in the carridge said goodbye and went off to find their own seats. How nice was that! Though had l not started to talk it might never had happened. N. Wales so far has been gale force winds and rain, hoping tomorrow is as promised sunny and cloudy. Pauline
There are some nice people around.
