Up early despite my very late night. I need to get into town early (before the crowds get milling around) and try to finish off my Christmas shopping, buy our fresh wreath for the front door and meet a friend for coffee. I like Wednesday because the fruit and veggie market is there and there's a lovely atmosphere in town.
Well, the musicians I went to see in Hammersmith last night were fabulous-called 2cellos. They played music from every genre imaginable and had the place rocking, especially as they were joined by a magnificent drummer. It was like being a teenager again as the building shook with the volume and vibration! They started and ended with some lovely classical pieces but in between we had AC/DC, Michael Jackson, U2 and then out of nowhere in a quiet moment, they played Silent Night and every single person started singing-it was magical! I love electric cello.
