If you knew my daughter you wouldn't ever think she would be so bold, but when it comes to animals....
She works in a shop in our high st. and she has worried about this man and his dogs before as one dog is very old and the other is a youngster, both on the same long lead so that the old pooch gets dragged along by the young whippersnapper. Well this man , a very well spoken chap came into her shop with his two black labs to return a faulty item. Not very polite and very rude I might add. He bought the dogs in (dogs are always welcome in there) and as they were getting tangled up he shouted at them then took them outside and tied them up to the advertising 'A' board which isn't weighted. My d. was a bit concerned that they would get to close to the road so went outside to stand and hold the board. The man came out and true to form the young dog got excited and managed to pull the board along. The man then punched the dog in the head twice! So my d. shouted at him to stop and that was no way to treat a dog, which excerlated to huge row between the man and my d. A women came over and asked if she was alright , so my d. told her what he had done. He continued shouting 'saying ' my d. can't speak to a customer like that. By then my d. lost the plot completely and told him he was a ******* idiot which he then strode off.
Both of us are very worried what happens to these dogs at home if he treats them like this in public. I have been thinking about this and I think my d. may be able to find his name out from the shops receipts and wondered if I could report him.
