Posting Photos

I've finally made my own door wreath but I have absolutely no idea how to post a photo of it. I have an iPad mini with which I can take and email photos and also a digital camera. I remember one used to have to resize photos or they took up the whole page. I don't use any photo hosting sites.

Is there an easy way, or am I a lost cause?
