AirB&B - anyone tried one?

Have just booked 4 nights in an a AirB&B in Sydney - a queen-sized room in a truly beautiful city-slick apartment. It's in the heart of Sydney, overlooking the river and all the bustling river/city-life. It looks gorgeous and the hosts sound great!

AirB&B is essentially like an informal B&B with a room & ensuite (usually only 1 room but there are some apartments) in someone's private home. You're left more to your own devices - for example, a basket of breakfast goodies is left out for you to dip into, or there's food in the fridge you can cook in their kitchen. The one we're going to, we can use their washer/dryer and there's a space in the home office where we can hook up to wifi.

As a result, you can get an amazing deal. 4 nights B&B for the 2 of us, in Sydney in Easter week is costing £53/night for the two of us. That's just phenomenal compared to the prices I looked at for hotels and other B&Bs!

Lots of safeguards and checks in place, so no chance of anything dodgy, financially or physically! In fact, it took over an hour for me to go through the registration & verification process last night!

I'd be interested to hear if anyone's tried out AirB&B. I certainly can't wait to try this one!
