Hi everyone, haven't been on for a while but just wondered if anyone had a power flush for their central heating system.
We have had intermittent problem with downstairs radiators sometimes not coming on but upstairs ones are fine. BG came again today and said problem is sludge in the system and power flush will cure problem, price is....£670approx! Not the best news after expense of Xmas....
For the time being engineer has turned down radiators upstairs to force it to come on downstairs. We are not sure whether to go ahead with this as our boiler is 18 yrs old but BG say it is a very good boiler and should last another few years.
Would love to hear of anyone else's experience on this.
