If found a lump in my breast just after new year and went to doctor, who has sent me for mammogram (on Wednesday)and tests at breast clinic on 28 January. I'm not worrying unduly about it and trying to tell myself that no point in worrying till we know what we are dealing with.
My problem is - do I tell my family? My sister died of breast cancer last year, just 53 years old, and I dread even mentioning it to my mum who is 80! I have 3 children, all in their 20s and not living at home. the 2 girls live quite a way away - a 90 min drive. My son lives about 20 miles away and I see him quite often - he's coming over for lunch today.
I don't think I should burden them with it until I know if there's anything to worry about, or not. What do you think?
