Smartmeters are going cut emissions and save on household bills.
Each household will end up coughing up £214.50 for installation which will be passed onto customers in the form of a levy on thier bill.
Evidence so far suggests that most households save around 2% and a year after installation, families stop using them.
I won't use less anyway - for a three bed semi for gas and elec, my bill is under £500.00 per annum, i think I'm pretty frugal already, no lights left on unnecessarily, heating only goes on when it's really cold.
