Hi there, up with the larks this morning and no PN - hope that means she has had 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep and is feeling more rested today.
I rose with the larks this morning - around 6.00am and have been house working and writing emails. Lovely surprise visit from OH about half an hour ago. Instead of having their second meeting at the Site this morning they had it over a meal last evening so he too was up and about early for the drive back to Athens before the tractors are at large. Thankfully no glitches on his drive down. He popped home to leave his travel bag, his jacket, picked up some fruit and left again but it was so nice to see him when I wasn't expecting to.
Had a nice evening with my friend, lots of chat and came home with a bottle of the local wine - semi-sweet - so relaxed in front of the TV with one glass (I was a good girl) and it obviously pressed all the necessary buttons and I fell asleep happily waking up ache free this morning. Sunshine still with us, no drizzle as forecast but then we're East not West so I will be planting my tree (Almond) this morning then popping down to the market. I've already vacuumed and mopped, plumped up the sofa cushions, dusted, let some fresh air in, fed the dogs (and me) so am feeling pretty smug. OH managed to dismantle the cooker hood and take out the 'dead' bulb so I have to buy another today to replace it.
BTW S00ze you have made me curious - I like philosophy so am off to see if I can find a book by Voltaire, read his take on things - an interesting read perhaps? Hope I don't have to order and find an English text in the Book Shop.
Roll on the weekend so OH and I can spend some time together (chillin' I hope) before his visit to Spain next week.
WARNING - Not trying to shock but (maybe this should be on food and interiors) my friend was telling me that a man in Peramo came home to find his wife in two pieces on their kitchen floor a few days ago and promptly fainted. Their daughter after calling them several times went to their home and found them. His wife apparently was decapitated by the lid of a pressure cooker so please, please, don't be too anxious to remove the lids from yours (if you use one) before the steam disperses fully - they don't put warnings not to do so in the instruction booklets for nothing. Ironically I was watching a cooking programme on TV last week where the host did exactly that because one of the contestants had forgotten to add one of the ingredients. They actually were making a joke about doing so accompanied by jaws music. I wonder if that woman saw this and decided to do same. Presently the inquiry being followed is checking to ensure the pressure cooker was not faulty. Couldn't stop thinking about this last night - the whole business horrified me so I thought to remind you all of the harm they can do if not used properly which may have been the case!
Wishing you all a good day. xxx
