..well if you listen to the pro EU people.
My favourite from the weekend's crop of doom-mongering was the fact ( apparently it is a fact  ) that leaving the EU would threaten the security of tourists on planes and increse the costs.
i don't know bout the costs, but I can't work out how planes and fuel and wages suddenly rise so exponentially that we can't afford th flights.
As for security, apparently close co-operation with the EU is essential to protect the security of our holidaymakers. Eh? You mean that if the Italians or the Belgians found a plot to blow up a BA plane over Heathrow they could no longer pick up the phone? If something goes wrong like Sharm and people are stranded, it would stop BA from helping out French passengers and Lufthansa from helping out UK passengers. I don't think so.
Just as a point of interest, the UK put forward strict regulations regarding air freight and they were watered down to match the EU regulations because other countries either couldn't or wouldn't adopt the more stringent requirements.
I'm getting fed up of the scare-mongering, I think it's a bad way to run a campaign.
The end of the world is nigh
