We all know that Katie Hopkins is renown for being quite outrageous and opinionated in her views of various people and situations which has never won her many fans, but on the other hand you have to admire her honesty.. but not the tact.
But Ive just read an article that she is now undergoing surgery on her brain to try and cure her epilepsy which has plagued her since she was 19. She said the odds aren't brilliant and having young children, that is one hell of a decision to have to make and I admire her bravery.
The reason Im interested in this story is that about 2 years ago, my son was given the option of having similar surgery to try and cure his epilepsy. He is 39 and has been plagued for 20 years for this, now relying on medication to keep things on an even keel.
The consultant gave him the opportunity to have surgery but only gave odds of 50/50 and if he did survive, could still have problems and have to stay on medication. It was his decision to make and thankfully made the one we all agreed with. No way and not worth risking.
I wish Katie all the very best and hope she pulls through and the op has cured this horrible illness.
