Hi girls
Some of you may have read my rant on the morning post about lack of celebration for St. Georges Day, especially when you bear in mind how overboard they go for every other event in the calendar year, i.e. St. Patricks Day etc. Easter eggs are in the shops even before christmas displays are down.
The only other time you may see St. Georges flags out is when England are playing football!
I emailed them and lo and behold just got a phone call back from them, apologising profusely and the lady said they have had several complaints already today and all will be passed to their marketing department. She totally agreed with me!
I think we should be proud to be English and show it and in my view, not bow down to all the other cultures or religions that it may offend - when in Rome etc!
We do respect other such cultures, but they have to learn to accept ours if living here.
So, will see what Tescos do next year. Nice to actually get a response so quickly too.;)
