It's well known that our present queen has been on the throne for longer than any other English monarch. So how come the photo of members of our royal family on today's e-newsletter is captioned as being of "all four heirs to the British throne"?
Firstly - "all four heirs" suggests that there are no more which is, as is common knowledge W&H, not the case.
Secondly, and far more importantly, the people in the photograph are Prince George, his father, his paternal grandfather, and the latter's mother. Strangely Her Majesty cannot, in 2016, be described as an heir to the throne.
Does no-one proof read in W&H's office?
Or is it simply that no-one can be bothered to use the Queen's English?
I know that some of my fellow forummers are not fans of the royal family, but I'm sure that even they will agree that not acknowledging that a remarkable lady has actually been doing her job for the last 64 years is a little rude.
