Fabulous day with Aliehs

Hi girls, as you probably know, OH and I met up with Aliehs and her lovely OH yesterday. We had such a great day with them. This time they came to Alicante and we met them at the station, had a quick drive round Alicante city (they had been there previously) so took them Elche - the city which has more palm trees than anywhere else in Europe, including the Canaries. It was inhabited by the Moors for centuries and along with the architecture - a lot of which remains - they brought the palms. They both enjoyed it as they said it was a place they would never have thought of visiting. Afterwards we went to our village where they saw our house, met our mutts and had a long leisurely lunch at "our" restaurant on the villlage square. We all get on like a house on fire. They are both lovely, lovely people and I thank W & H every day for the many wonderful friends I have made through this forum - and those I still have to meet!

Aliehs sends you all huge hugs and apologises for not being in the forum much lately, but with two grandchildren -6 months and 11 months - life has definitely got in the way. And - hot off the press - she is going to be a granny again in August! She is gobsmacked but delighted!
