Morning girls
Today, my husband and I are scattering my dads ashes at the Crematorium who have beautiful grounds with a lake and woodlands. Im dreading this more than the funeral.
We have a rose bush for dad with a memorial plaque on, but cant leave his ashes there, so we can scatter them in the woodland area, and will leave some Narcissis flowers and scatter rose petals. I have a lovely short poem to read.
The rest of the family will all be there on the 28th February for what would have been dads 89th birthday so they can see the rose and woodlands.
I feel now that I can finally lay my dad to rest and hopefully start to grieve properly (if there is such a thing). Might be the time for me to let go too now.
My brother lives in Spain and at the same time this morning, he is planting a tree in dads memory which is lovely.
Im glad the wind has died down a bit or goodness knows where dads ashes would have ended up!
Time to let go
