A few weeks ago I got a letter from EE regarding a phone bill of £1027.50. I had taken out the contract in my name as Stuart did not have a debit card. I warned him that it must never be in arrears as I have always had a perfect credit score. He told me last week that he had paid £300 of it and was setting up a payment plan.
Today I received another letter from them regarding the same amount but saying he had been cut off since 31st March. He can take incoming calls so I did not know.
On calling EE they said his last payment for £200 was made in January and they had received nothing since !
I paid them £100 today and arranged they call me back on 20th April to see about the balance. If not paid it goes to debt collection !
I have not received my inheritance yet and don't know when it will come through. I can clear it from my savings.
I phoned Stuart and started the call with "DO NOT LIE TO ME !" He said his comment of having paid £300 was that he had offered them that but they had not got back to him !!! Utter rubbish ! They would have accepted that immediately.Then I hung up on him.
After Frances died I gave him several hundreds of pounds in January that the P.O. released to me. Then I ordered a gardener for him to do £2000 of work at his place. (Only just starting.) and bought him lots of clothes and household goods and new carpet.
Six years ago he had £7000 of gambling debts which I paid. No problems with that since, but he has always been bad with money and has "borrowed" from his brother and sister and never paid back so they won't help him again.
I have been waiting for a Cardiologist appointment ,and two days ago was offered a cancellation for today at 2,45pm, which I accepted. I am SO stressed and angry !!! God knows how that will go !
