I have been ringing and ringing the hospital where my brother died to try and arrange collection of the cause of death paperwork, but the Bereavement Office and the PALS office phones switch immediately to voicemail.
Mr R and I have taken the decision that we're going to drive to Kent tomorrow whatever, and I'm just going to stand in the hospital until, hopefully, someone sorts this out. I've got an appointment with the Registrar on Friday, but will have to cancel it, if they don't get paperwork ready...and then arrange to go down to Kent all over again next week to register the death.
Poor Clutterbug is stuck in the hospital mortuary, and I can't even have him moved to the funeral home. I can't believe that the hospital feel that this is the proper way to treat the recently bereaved.
I'm so upset.
