Hello everyone
As it says in the title, this is my first post. I made the decision at Christmas to address my work life balance and find myself at home a lot more having spent the last three years living and working away all week which is great except I don't have a network of friends locally to enjoy life with in my self imposed semi retirement. I live in Cornwall near Bude, not a very socially confident person (completely the opposite in working life!). I have an OH who works part time also but my children and grandchildren live 6 hours away.
If anyone has some suggestions for how I can go about making some friendships I'm open to all suggestions! The usual route of joining clubs is a problem as I still work away once a month/every 6 weeks for two weeks at a time and most clubs are in the week days.
Anyway, I have really enjoyed reading the posts on here and you seem a very friendly and approachable group of people with a wide variety of interests!
