Still No News

Thank you for your kind thoughts on the Good Morning post, ladies. I'm phoning the hospital three times a day, but there is no change. Clutterbug literally hasn't moved since he went into hospital, and is still unconscious and looks as though he's sleeping peacefully.

Mr R has made arrangements to come home from work every night, until the inevitable happens so, if we get a call in the night we can dash straight to Margate. He's also not travelling too far away during the day, so he can get home if he needs to.

We will go to the hospital tomorrow, whatever the situation and, hopefully, poor Clutterbug will soon feel that he can rest, and that it's time to leave. It breaks my heart to see him like this; the poor man really has suffered enough.

On top of this, we've found out that a former Carer of his, who was sacked from the Caring Agency had "befriended" him, and it appears she's been helping herself to his money. She knew the code number for his key safe, and it seems that his wallet with his pension card and bank card has disappeared from his flat. It wasn't with his belongings in the hospital either. The Housing Association have now had the locks changed on his front door, and I've had to do a third party stop on all his bank accounts as there seems to be odd amounts of money missing....like £200 every other day for a couple of weeks. Clutterbug also had a cheque book (which made him feel very grand!) and although we can't find the current one...that's also disappeared...the last stub in an old book shows a payment of £500, on 31st January, made out to this girl. The Sheltered Housing Warden has contacted the police on my behalf.

Not what I needed right now!

I'll keep you posted, ladies, and thank you again for kind thought and messages.
